Mikes Marine Custom Canvas has been an active member of  the Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) since 1998.  We are honored to have won many awards, over the years, for our custom canvas products in the catagories of boat covers, enclosures, bimini tops, sailboat dodgers, and porch & restaurant curtains, as shown in this gallery.

The Marine Fabricators Association (MFA), a division of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), sponsors an annual competition for marine fabricators throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and the Carribbean islands.  The Fabrication Excellence Awards Program recognizes the very latest and best advances in technical fabric design and manufacturing in the marine textile industry.  It establishes standards of excellence for business practices, products and craftsmanship, and establishes an identity for marine fabricators.  
 
Projects are submitted for awards in many different categories.  The project entries are reviewed by a team of MFA certified Master Fabric Craftsmen (MFC) and are judged for the following criteria: 
25% design,
25% craftmanship,
25% originality, and
25% difficulty. 

Winners are selected in each category and published in the Marine Fabricator Magazine and on the MFA's website www.marinecanvas.com . The highest award, The Award of Distinction, receives international recognition with the IFAI, and Mikes Marine Custom Canvas has received this honor in 2003, 2007, and most recently the 2008 competition. In addition, several of our MFA Award of Excellence winners have gone on to win Exterior Canvas catagory awards in the IFAI International Awards Program.
